IMPACT & ACCOUNTABILITY
Chanak Foundation organizes its charitable work around three official programs. We track progress through participation, continuity, family engagement, youth development, scholarship access and the capacity of local partners to sustain learning opportunities over time.
OUR THREE OFFICIAL PROGRAMS
What we track: verified financial need, awards funded, student academic continuity, remedial milestones, transcript verifications, persistence rates, and responsible stewardship of restricted scholarship grants.
What we track: participating educators, completion of character-driven pedagogy modules, mastery learning implementation, ESA policy navigation support, and ongoing instructional coaching portfolios.
What we track: learners reached, hours of connectivity, adult literacy completion, community emergency recovery (e.g. Churubé relief stations), youth virtue development portfolios, and local partner capacity.
REAL-WORLD EVIDENCE
Program participation matters, but durable impact requires evidence that families remain engaged, young people build practical capacity, learners continue progressing and community partners can sustain access beyond a single event.
As the program expands, Chanak Foundation intends to strengthen its evaluation framework through validated measures, mentor observations, participant reflection and longitudinal follow-up, and is interested in external evaluation and academic partnerships to strengthen the evidence base of its character-development model.
COMMUNITY LEARNING HUBS
In geographically isolated communities, educational access is shaped by transport, connectivity, distance and local infrastructure. Our Hub model is designed around those realities rather than assuming that learners can simply travel to an existing service.
In Panama, field experience and community relationships inform the development of locally accessible learning options for rural and coastal communities. The Foundation uses territorial evidence to define equipment needs, connectivity priorities, delivery schedules and realistic participation targets.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Life Skills is designed to move beyond classroom discussion. Project-based learning, teamwork, service, practical responsibility and mentoring provide observable evidence of growth in confidence, collaboration, problem-solving and leadership practice.
Activities such as community projects, STEM challenges, entrepreneurship exercises, gardening, arts and service experiences can be documented in student portfolios and mentor observations.
LONG-TERM OUTCOMES
Our long-term goal is not simply to create activities. It is to help learners remain connected to education, strengthen family participation, expand practical opportunity and build community structures capable of supporting future cohorts.
As programs mature, the Foundation will publish program-level targets and annual results so funders and community partners can compare intended outcomes with actual delivery.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Program-specific funding is directed to the charitable purpose for which it was awarded, including scholarships, equipment, connectivity and program delivery.
Participation, program activities, partner contributions and material outputs are documented as programs are implemented.
Chanak Foundation is building a reporting framework that links program budgets, outputs and outcomes for donors and institutional funders.
